Chapter licenses offer seats to an AIA (or other not-for-profit) chapter allowing the chapter’s members to access the full Amber Book online animated video course, hardcopy workbook, flash cards, Panic Notes, and searchable case-study pdf.
The cost to the chapter is $142.50 per month per enrollee, discounted from the $390 per month the enrollee would pay if signed up as an individual. The chapter must be large enough to enroll 24 members in one year (or join another chapter so the two combined are large enough).
To be clear, we are closer to a full ARE 5.0 university course aimed at licensure and all six divisions than we are to a normative study resource aimed at the next division. Chapter seats in the course are only available to chapter members. Chapters may charge at-cost, more-than-cost as a fundraiser, or offer their members free access to the Amber Book; and chapters pay after the year’s course use is up and they’ve collected any revenue, so this year’s budget needn’t be affected.
THE HIGHEST LIKELIHOOD OF PASSING IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME STUDYING
You want architects to become licensed more quickly, and we can help because we’ve helped over 10,000 emerging professionals study for these exams. We’re sure we offer the highest likelihood of passing in the least amount of time studying, because people keep writing to us and telling us so. Plus, our course is fun.
HOW DOES THE CHAPTER PAY?
The chapter enrolls 24 members for two months each at $142.50 per person, per month. The chapter may choose to collect from enrollees (or offer it free) and the chapter pays for one year ($142.50/mo x 2 months x 24 members = $6,840), billed after the year is over so that you don’t have to outlay funds until after the course has been used, and we guarantee you’ll love the course; you can cancel anytime if you’re not thrilled and we’ll refund the year. Email email@example.com or click on the enrollment button on this page to start.
WHAT IF ENROLLEES WANT TO REMAIN IN THE COURSE FOR MORE THAN TWO MONTHS?
We’ll give them a discount code that allows them to continue their enrollment for as long as they want at that same $142.50/mo price (paid out of the enrollee’s pocket, not from the chapter’s coffers).
Market the course to your membership, and send out hardcopy books to those who enroll (we send the books to you and you distribute them to members)
AMBER BOOK OBLIGATIONS
- To work with you, beginning right now, to get as many emerging professionals licensed in the shortest amount of time. We are a comprehensive, animated, high-quality course with expedited licensure as the goal. (Talk to those in your chapter who have already completed the Amber Book program and ask them their experience.)
- To provide the Amber Book online video course to the chapter’s members.
- To mail 24 hardcopy books to the chapter for distribution.
CAN THE CHAPTERS CHARGE ENROLLEES?
Yes, if they choose to. Retail price for an individual is $390 per person per month. Chapters may charge up to $240 per month. If demand outstrips the supply of seats, more seats can be purchased mid-year, prorated. Some chapters have opted to offer this gratis to their group as a perk of membership and an avenue for driving new memberships (the cost of Associate membership annually is far less than the tuition savings membership offers).
I was the first person in the nation to pass all six ARE 5.0 divisions, and I’ve worked with thousands who are taking these tests, including intensive three-day courses at AIA New York, AIA Miami, AIA Dallas, AIA Houston, AIA Triangle (Raleigh), AIA Northern Virginia, AIA New Orleans, AIA New Mexico, AIA Alaska, AIA Connecticut, AIA Virginia, and AIA Washington DC (more than one thousand total have completed my in-person courses). I’ve partnered with AIA National to provide AIA members access to my online course; I have 20 years as a full-time university professor; and I know more about this test, and how people study for it, than probably anyone in the world. So even if you are not interested in purchasing a chapter license, use me as a resource in crafting your chapter’s approach to licensure and learning because I live this stuff. You can watch my get-started-with-the-tests video here. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’m happy to put you in touch with other chapters who have signed up for chapter licenses.
